HERE TO HELP

Support for the moments that matter.

Find a quick path through common recording, transcription and storage questions.

Recording on Mac

Choose a microphone, system audio, window or screen in Memento. macOS may ask for Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording access. If access is denied, update it in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then restart Memento if macOS requests it. Call capture depends on the calling app and audio route.

Recording on iPhone or iPad

Use the Record control in the Library, allow Microphone access, then pause, resume or stop. You can also import supported audio through Files or the Share Sheet. If the microphone was denied, enable Memento in Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.

Transcription and local models

Open the on-device AI settings to review model availability and download status. Optional models need an internet connection to download and enough storage to install. If a model is unavailable, Memento explains the requirement instead of automatically sending your recording to a remote AI provider. Apple Speech availability varies by language and OS.

Storage, Trash and export

Recordings and downloaded models use local space. Export anything you wish to keep elsewhere, remove unused models, or review items in Trash. A recording in Trash can be restored until permanently removed. Exported copies remain under the control of the destination you chose.
